“U.S. actress Susan Sarandon reacts during a news
conference to promote the film Cloud Atlas during the 37th Toronto
International Film Festival September 9, 2012.” Again with the
“reacting” – that word is really used a lot in sports photography, you know.
But what happened here – a shocking suggestion, an unpleasant smell, a question
about U.S. politics, maybe? Inquiring minds want to know, as they say.
The captions
attached to the photos on this page include the name of a person, and the
details of the event she is attending.
Unfortunately,
there is no additional information to explain the very expressive expressions
on the faces of the subjects.
Photographers
try to get the best pictures that they can. Journalists report on the words,
share the quotes. But wherever they are, they can’t or won’t write down every
word, especially at a relatively fluffy event like a press conference for a
movie. These events can get noisy and out of control too, with everyone trying
to talk at once.
